Abstract

Fenomena iklim, kejanggalan rekabentuk dan kebergantungan kepada tenaga yang tinggi dilihat sebagai pemangkin kepada permasalahan ketidakselesaan termal yang dialami oleh penghuni kediaman di Malaysia. Penyelidikan ini berteraskan kepada penentuan suhu neutral sebagai objektif utama kajian. Lokasi kajian ini mengkhusus kepada rumah teres dua tingkat yang dijalankan pada bulan Mac 2019 dinegeri Selangor yang melibatkan empat daerah iaitu Klang, Petaling, Kuala Langat dan Hulu Langat. Persampelan bukan kebarangkalian secara bertujuan digunakan bagi melihat perbandingan sampel yang bersifat homogen. Penilaian subjektif menggunakan skala 7 titik ASHRAE memberi input kepada penilaian sensasi termal penghuni kediaman seramai 208 orang. Data PMV/PPD dijana melalui dapatan parameter cuaca dan personal. Penemuan utama kajian melalui analisis regresi linear memberi nilai suhu neutral analisis PMV/PPD yang menyelesakan berada pada 25.81°C. Manakala, analisis yang sama bagi data TSV pula memberi nilai suhu neutral yang jauh lebih realistik iaitu pada nilai 29.47°C. Dapatan suhu selesa melalui persamaan pendekatan adaptif juga dilihat berpadanan dengan dapatan suhu neutral TSV. Ini memberi petunjuk bahawa dapatan suhu neutral analisis PMV tidak menggambarkan situasi sebenar tahap adaptasi dan aklimitasi responden.
