Abstract

Kesihatan mental remaja perlu diberikan perhatian kerana golongan ini sedang melalui fasa perkembangan dari segi fizikal dan emosi. Sekiranya mereka gagal mengawal fasa perubahan diri yang mereka alami, mereka berkemungkinan menghadapi gangguan kesihatan mental dan akan memberi impak kepada kesejahteraan hidup mereka. Tahap kesihatan mental remaja di Malaysia menunjukkan tahap yang agak membimbangkan dengan keadaan kemurungan yang boleh membawa kepada gejala bunuh diri lebih-lebih lagi ketika pandemik COVID-19 yang berlaku pada awal tahun 2020. Artikel ini bertujuan membincangkan isu dan literasi kesihatan mental remaja di Malaysia. Metodologi kajian ini adalah berasaskan analisis kandungan iaitu penelitian kajian lepas menerusi pembacaan sumber sekunder seperti artikel dan buku berkaitan isu kesihatan mental remaja. Perbincangan artikel ini juga diharapkan dapat membantu pihak tertentu dalam melaksanakan usaha-usaha bagi mencegah masalah kesihatan mental dalam kalangan remaja.
