Perancangan Masa Depan Kanak-Kanak dengan Kecelaruan Spektrum Autisme (ASD): Perspektif Ibu Bapa
Abstract
Ibu bapa menghadapi cabaran yang besar dalam membesarkan kanak-kanak dengan kecelaruan spektrum autisme (autism spectrum disorder - ASD) yang meliputi perancangan masa depan mereka. Mungkin terdapat ibu bapa yang tidak atau belum membuat sebarang perancangan kerana tidak tahu bagaimana untuk merancang atau masih sedang mempelajari cara untuk mengendalikan kehidupan anak ASD. Kajian kualitatif ini bertujuan meneroka secara mendalam tentang perancangan masa depan kanak-kanak ASD daripada perspektif ibu bapa menggunakan pendekatan Analisis Fenomenologi Interpretasi (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis – IPA) sebagai metodologi kajian. Peserta kajian yang terdiri daripada tiga pasangan ibu bapa dengan anak ASD telah ditemu bual dan transkrip direkodkan secara verbatim serta dianalisis menggunakan teknik IPA. Hasil analisis telah mengenalpasti dua tema utama dan empat sub-tema. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa sungguhpun terdapat halangan, ibu bapa masih mempunyai harapan yang positif terhadap perancangan masa depan anak-anak ASD mereka. Dapatan kajian ini diharap dapat memberikan sokongan dan motivasi kepada ibu bapa dengan anak ASD di samping membantu para profesional dan pihak berkepentingan untuk memahami secara mendalam tentang topik perancangan masa depan kanak-kanak ASD daripada perspektif ibu bapa dan seterusnya memberikan perkhidmatan mengikut keperluan sebenar mereka.
