Amalan Kepimpinan Instruksional Guru Besar dan Hubungannya dengan Tahap Komitmen Guru di Daerah Barat Daya
Abstract
Guru besar memegang peranan utama dalam menentukan kecemerlangan sesebuah institusi pendidikan. Satu daripada gaya kepimpinan yang biasa dipraktikkan adalah kepimpinan instruksional. Selain daripada kepimpinan pemimpin sekolah, komitmen guru juga mempengaruhi kecemerlangan sekolah. Oleh itu, kajian kuantitatif ini berniat untuk menilai tahap kepimpinan instruksional guru besar dan tahap komitmen guru di sekolah rendah. Sebanyak 306 orang guru telah dipilih secara rawak untuk sertai dalam kajian ini. Soal selidik diterapkan untuk menghimpun data dan dinilai menggunakan ujian korelasi Pearson dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil kajian membuktikan bahawa kepimpinan instruksional guru besar berada pada tahap yang tinggi dalam pada itu tahap komitmen guru adalah sederhana tinggi. Terdapart hubungan yang signifikan antara kepimpinan instruksional guru besar dengan tahap komitmen guru pada kadar kekuatan r=0.485. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa praktik kepimpinan instruksional guru besar mempengaruhi tahap komitmen guru. Oleh itu, guru besar perlu meningkatkan amalan kepimpinan instruksional bagi meningkatkan tahap komitmen guru. Kajian ini memberi pandangan yang lebih jelas tentang nilai tambah kepimpinan instruksional dan boleh dijadikan rujukan pustaka kepada pemimpin dalam bidang pendidikan di Malaysia.
