Tahap Pengetahuan dan Kesedaran Tentang Tenaga Boleh Baharu dalam kalangan Guru
Abstract
Kebergantungan terhadap bahan api fosil untuk menjana tenaga telah mencetus isu global seperti kemerosotan takungan bahan api fosil, pemanasan global dan kesan negatif terhadap kesihatan manusia. Usaha kerajaan untuk beralih ke tenaga boleh baharu (TBB) dapat dibuktikan melalui penerapan elemen ini di dalam Rancangan Malaysia ke-12 (RMK-12) seiring dengan Matlamat Pembangunan Mampan (SDG). Namun, usaha ini tidak akan berjaya sekiranya pengetahuan dan kesedaran di kalangan orang awam tentang TBB masih rendah. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau tahap pengetahuan dan tahap kesedaran tentang TBB ke atas 62 orang guru daripada 6 buah sekolah menengah di daerah Serian melalui 12 item dalam borang soalan selidik. Dapatan kajian mendapati bahawa tahap pengetahuan (min skor=4.17) dan tahap kesedaran (min skor=4.06) di kalangan guru adalah tinggi secara keseluruhannya. Selain itu, pengkaji menggunakan ujian-t dan ANOVA satu hala untuk membandingkan tahap pengetahuan berdasarkan kumpulan jantina, umur dan bidang pengajaran guru. Seterusnya ujian Korelasi Pearson dijalankan untuk melihat sekiranya terdapat hubungan positif yang kuat antara tahap pengetahuan dan tahap kesedaran guru. Kajian ini penting memandangkan guru merupakan agen utama dalam menyebarkan ilmu TBB dalam kalangan masyarakat. Dapatan kajian ini juga boleh digunakan untuk oleh pihak bahagian latihan guru untuk membangunkan kursus yang berkaitan dengan TBB bagi guru.
