Kesediaan Guru Terhadap Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Luar Bilik Darjah dalam Mata Pelajaran Sejarah Sekolah Rendah

Abstract

Pembelajaran Luar Bilik Darjah (PLBD) merupakan salah satu pendekatan alternatif yang memberikan pengalaman autentik di luar persekitaran bilik darjah. Pelaksanaan PLBD dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah membantu murid menghubungkan pengetahuan teori dengan konteks yang nyata sambil memperoleh pengalaman yang menyeronokkan dan bermakna. Faktor yang penting dalam menjayakan pelaksanaan PLBD adalah kesediaan guru. Sehubungan itu, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti kesediaan guru terhadap pelaksanaan PLBD dari aspek pengetahuan, kemahiran dan sikap dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah. Reka bentuk kajian ini adalah kuantitatif iaitu kajian tinjauan dan menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen kajian. Seramai 169 orang guru Sejarah sekolah rendah di daerah Pasir Gudang, Johor telah dipilih sebagai responden. Hasil kajian menunjukkan kesediaan guru melaksanakan PLBD dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah berada pada tahap sederhana tinggi. Ujian hipotesis menjelaskan terdapat hubungan signifikan yang kuat antara pengetahuan dengan kemahiran guru serta korelasi signifikan yang sederhana antara pengetahuan dan kemahiran dengan sikap guru dalam pelaksanaan PLBD. Implikasi kajian ini membantu pihak kementerian meninjau keberhasilan menerusi tahap kesediaan guru dan seterusnya merancang strategi yang sesuai. Justeru, kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberi pendedahan kepada guru-guru Sejarah untuk meningkatkan standard pengajaran dan mengembangkan keupayaan pengajaran bertaraf dunia yang diperlukan dalam milenium baru.
